Mr. Jefrey's Biography

Jefery Piano Teacher

Jefrey is a pianist, singer, and general music educator from Pennsylvania.

Having earned his degree in Music Teacher Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Jefrey has studied various methods and approaches to sharing musical concepts with students of all ages. This includes music theory, music history, ear training, and applied lessons in voice and all major instruments. His experience teaching older students mainly took place within a public school having taught high school piano courses, choir rehearsals, and general theory as a student teacher. He directed choir rehearsals and performances for his church before his peers as well. As for the younger ages, he taught general music from Kindergarten to fifth grade as well as choir rehearsals at Easton Arts Academy in Pennsylvania.

During his time at University, Jefrey has performed in multiple choirs and small ensembles both affiliated and non-affiliated with the school. He was often featured as a soloist and was the tenor section leader during his final year. Although he loves choral works and classical solo repertoire, he prefers to perform and listen to more contemporary music such as jazz, rock, and pop with Billy Joel as his favorite artist.

Jefrey believes that everybody, no matter how young or old, is an artist and has a musician waiting inside of them. He is excited to help each of his students find that inner musician and achieve their own individual goals.
